Zelenskyy Visits Military Personnel Near Conflict-Stricken Pokrovsk Area
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy conducted a visit to meet with national troops in the Pokrovsk area on Tuesday. The president confirmed that he met with warriors at the command post of the first unit of the Ukrainian National Guard Azov, which is conducting a defensive operation in the Dobropillya sector, a town approximately 20km from the city.
Volatile Situation in Pokrovsk
Recent mapping from a Ukrainian project indicated that invading troops had advanced deeper into Pokrovsk and nearby locations, though much of it remained beyond firm control by either side. The status is precarious, with updates indicating that opposition troops were establishing defenses and enhancing fortifications in certain areas.
Russian forces are making progress in the Pokrovsk sector and are reportedly acting with increasing comfort within urban Pokrovsk.
Military experts noted that Ukrainian forces had liberated a significant portion of a Russian penetration in the Dobropillya front, on the east side of the Pokrovsk effort.
