Reaffirming Strategic Ties

The leaders also pledged to recalibrate their defence ties. While Russia continues to be India's primary source of defence equipment, this role has reduced over the past decade as India has sought diversify its procurement.
The joint statement stressed cooperation in the collaborative manufacturing of cutting-edge weapons platforms, though direct details of deals for the Su-57 fighter jet were not made.
