The House Oversight Committee has made public a collection of around 70 photographs obtained from the property of former convicted individual convicted of sex crimes Jeffrey Epstein.

This constitutes the third such disclosure from a tranche of in excess of 95,000 photographs the body has obtained from Epstein's holdings. It contains pictures of quotes from the book Lolita written across a woman's body, and censored pictures of women's international passports.

This disclosure occurs mere hours before the December 19th deadline for the Department of Justice to make public each documents connected to its investigation into Epstein.

"These new images bring up more queries about what exactly the Department of Justice has in its custody," said the Democratic lead of the committee, Robert Garcia.

What's in the Photos Disclosed

Several of the images released on recently feature Epstein speaking with professor and activist Noam Chomsky aboard a personal aircraft; Bill Gates seen alongside a individual whose identity is censored; Steve Bannon seated at a workstation facing Epstein, and ex- Alphabet president Sergey Brin at a evening meal.

These are the latest high-net-worth, prominent men to be pictured in Epstein property images disclosed by the committee - formerly published photos also include US President Donald Trump and former president Bill Clinton, as well as movie director Woody Allen, previous US treasury secretary Larry Summers, lawyer Alan Dershowitz, Andrew Mountbatton-Windsor, and others.

Showing up in the photographs is is not considered evidence of any illegal activity, and many of the photographed individuals have stated they were not involved in Epstein's illegal activity.

In a press release issued alongside the photograph release, Democratic members on the US House Oversight Committee stated the Epstein estate did not offer context or dates for the pictures.

"Images were selected to provide the public with transparency into a illustrative selection of the photographs obtained from the estate, and to offer understanding into Epstein's circle and his extremely disturbing activities," the announcement reads.

The disclosure also features a number of photos of excerpts from the Vladimir Nabokov book Lolita penned in ink across several locations of a female's body, like her upper body, foot, hipbone, and spine. Lolita tells the story of a adolescent who was groomed by a adult literature professor.

An example of a passage from the book scrawled across a female's chest reads, "Lolita: the tip of the tongue taking a trip of three steps down the roof of the mouth to tap, at three, on the teeth".

Additionally, there are a collection of photographs of female travel documents and official papers from nations worldwide, including Lithuania, Russia, the Czech Republic, and Ukraine.

The majority of the information on the documents, such as identities and birth dates, is obscured but the panel said in a press release that the travel documents are associated with "females whom Jeffrey Epstein and his conspirators were involved with".

A further photograph features Epstein positioned at a desk closely surrounded by three women whose features have been censored - one has her hand on Epstein's torso under his clothing, and another individual is bending to view a nearby laptop. Epstein appears to be helping the third put on a bracelet.

Another photo released is a image of text messages from an unidentified person who says they have been supplied "a number of girls" and are asking for "$1000 per female".

Photograph Release Occurs Before DOJ Due Date

The committee has a vast number of photos in its custody from the Epstein property, which are "both disturbing and ordinary," its statement on recently clarified.

The oversight panel first subpoenaed the holdings of Epstein, who was found dead in a New York prison in 2019 while awaiting trial on allegations of human trafficking, in August.

The images and documents the Epstein property provided to the panel are different than what is largely termed "the Epstein documents". That material are documents in the Department of Justice's possession related to its separate probe into Epstein.

In accordance with the recently passed law, which Donald Trump signed into law last month, the DOJ has until 19 December to release its records. The extent of what's contained in the DOJ's files is unknown, and it's expected that a significant portion of the content will be heavily obscured, comparable to Congressional documents
